Thanks for stopping by. I'm Lisa Marie, the founder of Motibela. I'm a sassy, classy and bad-assy Certified Transformation and Holistic and Wellness Coach that helps women put their beauty in motion. My mission is to give women the tools (and the kick in the butt) they need to cultivate self-love through self-care so they can live their healthiest and most empowered life.
A bit about me… I went to school for nursing, but life took me in a different direction and I ended up in the corporate world working for a well-known, highly-regarded, globally branded company. It was a dream come true. I traveled the world, worked on amazing projects with some of most talented people in the industry, and learned a lot, but unfortunately long hours while trying to manage my personal life led to lack of self-care, corporate burn-out and eventually me getting very sick. As a mom and professional I thought I had it all under control, but in reality I was overwhelmed, stressed, and felt like I lost control of my life and my health. On the outside it looked like everything was good, but on the inside I was a total mess!
I had enough. I felt like everything around me was falling apart. There was changes happening at work, my health had declined, I was depressed, my anxiety was through the roof, and I had no energy. To top it off it no matter how healthy I ate or how often I worked out I was gaining weight! I hated who I had become. My confidence was gone. I had know idea who the hell had I turned into.
It was time to take matters into my own hands. I read and researched everything I could about my autoimmune diseases, stress management, anxiety control, and started to see a common theme - self-care. I slowly started to change the way I ate and how I looked at food. I started to listen to my body and learned when to push myself and when to relax. I took the time to nourish my body and my soul and started saying no to things that didn’t honor my well-being. I spent more time doing the things I wanted to do with the . These changes didn't happen all at once, they were small progressive changes that happened with time (and are still happening) and, let me tell you, it’s been life changing!
Look, we are stressed, even if we aren’t willing to admit it. We are in a state of constant worry. We worry about money, our job, our significant other, our children and various other things on a daily basis. Worrying creates stress and stress creates havoc on our mind and body. We become sick, tired, irritable, depressed, anxious, and depleted. We are in the habit of putting ourselves last and let me tell you, ladies, that shit needs to stop! We can’t keep sacrificing our needs at the expense of our well-being.
My job is to give you the tools to help you reduce stress and anxiety, navigate what worries you, develop a healthier relationship with food, be at peace with your body, adjust your mindset, and most importantly, create a self-care routine that is simple, easy to follow and doesn’t take away from your priorities or make you feel guilty.
